Permits and Zoning
The Township adopted an amended Zoning Ordinance, # 110 in November 2003. This ordinance regulates the use, intensity of use, size and location of buildings and other structures, as well as establishing regulations for land use by trades, industry, recreation and public activities. Copies of the ordinance are available for review or purchase at the municipal building. Questions regarding the provisions of this ordinance should be directed to the Zoning Officer of Pocono Township.
Pocono Township adopted Ordinance #113, the uniform Construction Code Act of PA Act 45 in April 2004. This ordinance ensures that all; construction is subject to codes such as the International Building Code 2003 and the International Residential Code 2003. Questions regarding the provisions of this ordinance should be directed to the Certified Building Official Building Inspection Underwriters at the Pocono Township municipal building.
