Pocono Township has one of the lowest Real Estate Tax rates in Monroe County (with a police force) 13.37 mills.

Real Estate Transfer Tax	2%, of which the township receives .005%

The current Pocono Township Tax Collector is Patricia Michael, whose office is located on Shine Hill Road. Office hours are Tuesdays from 2:00PM until 8:00PM and Wednesdays from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, with extended hours during the tax discount period. The telephone number is 570-629-1378.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the property owners whose mortgage company escrows moneys for taxes to immediately send the tax notices to their mortgage company, Attention: Tax Department.

Senior Citizens, if you qualify as low-income citizens, you may qualify for a Real Estate Tax Rebate from State Lottery Funds.
